A test, A wedding, and a baby.

So this past week has been awesome!

On Wednesday 2/17 I got to go to the Temple again (my first time back since I recieved my Endowments), to be there when one of my best friends Shelley Mehr (now Hall) recieved her Endowment. It was a really cool experience... and it was much better the second time. All the "shock" was gone, and it was nice to sort of know what I was doing. :)

Thursday night I had my State Skills CNA test. Oh I was really nervous, but I think it went well.... And it had to go well, or else I won't have a chance to take it again until I get home from my misison, and that would not be good. It was a lot easier than I thought it would be, but the test proctor gave me a couple "promts". They went for things that were in the state hand book, and that was all we had to know for the test. So I don't think she could not pass me for those promts.

Saturday morning I was able to go to Shelley and Kenny's wedding in the Salt Lake Temple. It was my first sealing (of couse) and it was so awesome! I have never thought about what a sealing was like, so I was able to just enjoy the whole thing. It was such a neat experience. The sealer knew Shelley's family so it was a little more personal. But it really was so awesome, and it makes me excited for when I get to be sealed one day.

Introducing Mr. and Mrs. Hall

At their luncheon they did one of Shelley's family traditions. Anyone who wants to can stand up and share a memory they have of the couple, or one of them. It was fun to hear some stories about them. It was cool to hear some of the things her dad and step mom said. It really showed how kind and caring Shelley really is.

This is the frame I made them. No Matter What is the name of the book that he made to proposed to her with...

Their first dance :)

This is why we are friends... haha ;)

And on Sunday Feb. 21, 2010 my best friends Shaili and Eric Draper had their first baby. Oh my goodness she is a cutie. She has so much dark hair. I was so excited for them. Today I got to go and see her. She is so sweet. I forgot how little new borns really are. It has been like 3 years since there has been a baby born in my family... which means it has been about that long since I have held a new born. I didn't want to let her go, but she had to eat, so I did.
She was 7 lbs 4 oz and 19 inches.

Busy, Busy, Busy!

DISCLAIMER: This is kind of a boring post....

Wow, has it been a buys time for me.  But my CNA class will be over next Thursday, and then I will finally have some free time.

Lately I have basically been working, going to my CNA class, and doing homework....
Last weekend I was finally able to go shopping again for some more mission clothes. I still only have 2 skirts, but  I think I have most (or my mom would probably say all) of my tops. Then I went to my little sisters basketball tournament. Friday they lost, but Saturday they won. :)  They played on Wednesday and won again... then it was over.

Last weekend I also got to hang out with my friends on both Friday and Saturday. Friday we celebrated mine and Cleve's birthdays. (mine was Feb. 1st and Cleve's was Feb. 6th) We played games, had cake and ice cream, and watched a movie. It was fun. It was the first time since before we all moved back home that we were all able to get together and hang out.... It was a night full of LOTS of laughs. At one point we all just sat there laughing over nothing.... but Kenny, Megan, and I could not stop. It was a lot of fun. Then on Saturday night we went to Comedy Sportz in Provo for Cleve's birthday. It was really fun. I had never been to one of their weekend shows. It kind of reminds me of the show "Who's Line is it Anyway."

On Tuesday this week I was sitting at work, and my phone jumped out of my pocket and hit the ground. When I picked it up, the screen was black. Oh boy, was I ticked! I had had my Dark Blue LG Chocolate for 25 months... it had been through a lot, but it never led me astray. Of course it had to break when I only had 5 weeks left before I leave. So from about 3pm Tuesday till 11:30am Wednesday I was with out a phone. I was able to receive phone calls and two of my speed dials worked.... So Wednesday morning I went down to the Verizon store and had to buy a new one. Well since my brother said my phone was up for an upgrade I figured I would buy a new one (he said it would only be $10-20), well it wasn't. All the phones the lady was showing me were over $100... I wasn't going to spend that much. I don't think I got what I was supposed to since I got the cheapest phone (one that isn't even made anymore, they are just selling what they still have in stock) I could get and it still cost me almost $60.... And she said I couldn't use my insurance I have been paying on my phone for 2 years because what broke on it isn't covered my insurance or something like that. (And I found on the Verizon web site my same new phone for $10 with a $10 rebate) Kind of bummed since I am only going to be using it for a few more weeks, and it wasn't even normally picked. But it does the job, so whatever.

This past Wednesday I went to my last clinical for my CNA class.... and I realized that I am going to have such a hard time being a CNA. It is just so sad.... especially the people who have Dementia. I feel so bad for them and for their families. Just think, one day you go to visit your mother, and she doesn't even know who you are anymore. That would totally crush me. While we were waiting for our teacher to get there a man was telling us about his wife who lived there. It was just so heart breaking to hear her story. It made me cry almost. You could tell how much he loved her, but how much it hurt him to see her like that.  Especially since she had finally gotten to a point where he couldn't take care of her anymore. Taking this class, it makes me NOT want to get old!!!! Like even more that before.

PS... I leave in 32 days!!!!!!!!! Ah I can't believe it!!!
PSS... My friend Shaili should be having her baby any time before Friday, I am SO stinken excited!

Well that is all for now! :)
