So this past week has been awesome!
On Wednesday 2/17 I got to go to the Temple again (my first time back since I recieved my Endowments), to be there when one of my best friends Shelley Mehr (now Hall) recieved her Endowment. It was a really cool experience... and it was much better the second time. All the "shock" was gone, and it was nice to sort of know what I was doing. :)
Thursday night I had my State Skills CNA test. Oh I was really nervous, but I think it went well.... And it had to go well, or else I won't have a chance to take it again until I get home from my misison, and that would not be good. It was a lot easier than I thought it would be, but the test proctor gave me a couple "promts". They went for things that were in the state hand book, and that was all we had to know for the test. So I don't think she could not pass me for those promts.
Saturday morning I was able to go to Shelley and Kenny's wedding in the Salt Lake Temple. It was my first sealing (of couse) and it was so awesome! I have never thought about what a sealing was like, so I was able to just enjoy the whole thing. It was such a neat experience. The sealer knew Shelley's family so it was a little more personal. But it really was so awesome, and it makes me excited for when I get to be sealed one day.
Introducing Mr. and Mrs. Hall
At their luncheon they did one of Shelley's family traditions. Anyone who wants to can stand up and share a memory they have of the couple, or one of them. It was fun to hear some stories about them. It was cool to hear some of the things her dad and step mom said. It really showed how kind and caring Shelley really is.
This is the frame I made them. No Matter What is the name of the book that he made to proposed to her with...
Their first dance :)
This is why we are friends... haha ;)
And on Sunday Feb. 21, 2010 my best friends Shaili and Eric Draper had their first baby. Oh my goodness she is a cutie. She has so much dark hair. I was so excited for them. Today I got to go and see her. She is so sweet. I forgot how little new borns really are. It has been like 3 years since there has been a baby born in my family... which means it has been about that long since I have held a new born. I didn't want to let her go, but she had to eat, so I did.
She was 7 lbs 4 oz and 19 inches.
