Soccer Tournament in Las Vegas.

Ashley's soccer team, Celtic Storm U15, had a soccer tournament in Las Vegas Jan. 15-18th.
We headed down early Friday morning, and got there about 1 hour before her game. He team tied their first game 1-1. After the game we all went to Round Table Pizze for dinner.... Wow, I forgot how much energy a group of 14 year old girls have...

Their second game was at 11am on Saturday. We got up, ate breakfast, and got ready to go to the game. They tied again. It was 2-2.... it was an interesting game. The referee was a little whistle happy...

Then at 3pm the played their third game.... They lost 4-0. :(  But Ashley got to start, so that was cool!
After this game we all went back to our hotel, and got ready. Then we headed to Ceasars Palace to go to the Cheese cake factory for dinner.

Oh boy, that was an adventure. First my dad couldn't find the parking, so after driving around for a while he headed to the Bellagio to park. Well Ashley and I were sick of being in the car, so we all jumped out of the car, and my dad went and parked. The rest of us started walking to Caesars Palace. We had never been there before, so we didn't know where to go. Well apparently we were about as far away from the Cheese cake factory as possible. We had to walk through the whole casino, and pretty much the whole mall. Finally we got there. Luckily we were the 2nd group out of our 4 to get there. We waited for everyone else to get there, and then we got sat. Cameron ordered a hamburger. When it got here, it was HUGE....

I didn't think he was going to be able to fit the whole thing in his mouth to take a bite.... but he proved me wrong. After we were done eating, we went out and sat by the fish tank waiting for everyone else.

This sting ray was really, really big!!!

On our way out, this show started... so we watched it. It was kind of weird. It was King Tritan and two of his kids. I got kind of bored.

As we were walking back to our car there was this huge toy store. This was the wood horse in front of it.

There were cool statues throughout the mall part of Caesars Palace.
On our way back to the car, we had to walk through the casino again... All I'm going to say is DON'T WALK THROUGH A CASINO IN VEGAS AFTER 9PM!!!!

We stopped and watched the water show at the Bellagio on our way back to the car. It was really cool. It is amazing how high the water goes. There has to be SO much pressure forcing the water up!!

Pretty flower things on the ceiling in the Bellagio

here is a cool horse that is in the lobby at the Bellagio.

Sunday morning her coach was told that they were out of the tournament. So instead of paying a butt load to stay another night, everyone decided to go home. We left at about 10 or 10:30am. About 2 hours later (we were just about to St. George) we got a phone call from Ashley saying that her coach got a text saying they might still be in the tournament. Everyone stopped where they were on the road, and waited for the final verdict... While we were waiting we decided to go to the St. George Temple visitors center (since we didn't go to church).... Well if you read the previous post, you will know the rest of the story!

Over all it was a fun trip.  It reminded me again of why I hate Vegas (or at least the strip and the area around it). And I had NO sleep, and got a Cold :(  But I'm glad I was able to go and support Ashley and her team!
